Physician Formulated:
Our Story
Consider This was founded by Tess, who lives with MCAS/dysautonomia, and her husband David, a physician who understands the critical role gut health plays in immune stability. Our high fiber protein bars help foster a strong and diverse microbiome with 8-10 plants per bar. They are also crafted for sensitive systems - made with simple, whole food ingredients.
Are dates low histamine?
Dates are rated "0/low" on the SIGHI list if they are sun-dried. We use only sun dried, no sulfite added dates and fruit.
We then take the additional step of independently lab-testing each recipe for histamine and posting that data on each product page.
Purity you can trust
Our standards go far beyond the label. Every ingredient we use is chosen with purpose. We independently test for histamine/tyramine, ensure our organic rice protein is free of heavy metals, and source our rosemary from Denmark—set in sea salt, never seed oils (the common carrier). Our fruits are naturally dried, never treated with sulfites. Every choice we make is guided by integrity and intention.
The Consider This Safe Snack Initiative supports students in Title I schools by providing top-9 allergen-free snacks to classrooms and school programs. We believe safe nutrition should be accessible to every child, regardless of income or dietary restrictions.
